Jr Jags Run for Fund$
The PTA at West Jordan Elementary is excited to hold its first annual Jr Jags Run for Funds this year on Friday, May 25, 2012. The PTA uses fundraisers to pay for many activities that the students get to participate in. These include field trips, special assemblies, Red & Green Ribbon week, schoool hospitality, literacy, and end of the year activities.
The Run for Fund$ will be an opportunity to mix in some fitness with our fund raising needs. All students will be participating in the run and we ask that they try to find "Sponsors" who are willing to support them in their running efforts. This is not a "permile" or "timed" sponsorship. It is an "any amount" sponsorship whether its a dollar or two or more. Please have students turn in collected money between May 21st and May 23rd.
Each student who is participating in the fun run is asked (NOT REQUIRED) to go to a few family members, neighbors, and fireds to ask for their sponsorship support. All students who participate will receive a prize depending on how much money they raise. If you have any questions you can contact the school office. Thank you so mych for your and your students help in this exciting event.

Even though we only have a few more weeks of school, there are still many things that need tobe accomplished this year. We are looking for volunteers to help with the year-end activities. Anyone can volunteer - grandparents, moms, and dads. If you are interested in helping please contact Melanie Johnson or a member of the PTA Board.
This year we will have our PTA Fundraiser in conjunction with our Fun Run. 100% of the funds raised will go to the school. Please watch for more information coming soon.

Maceys Receipts
There is another way that we can earn money for our school. Just follow the three steps below.
1. Collect receipts from the West Jordan Maceys.
2. Write your school and grade on the back of the receipts.
3. Drop them in the "School Cents" box in the office.
Every three months, Maceys will collect the receipts and reward the grade with the highest number (not the dollar amount) of receipts collected.
At the end of the year the dollar amount of the receipts will be totaled and 1% up to $500.00 will be given to your school.
PTA Board Meetings
PTA Board Meeting are the 1st Wednesday of every month at 10:00 a.m. in the teacher's lounge.
