Family Literacy Night

West Jordan Elementary presents Family Literacy Night on May 18, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m. Free dinner is available for all attendees from 6:00 to 6:30. Special guest speakers include author and illustrator Ali Cross and Mikey Brooks at 6:45 p.m. There will also be one free book for West Jordan Elementary students after the presentation. We hope to see you there!

T-Shirt Design Contest

WJE PTA is excited to announce that the designe WJE's school t-shirt contest is back! All students are eligible to enter their t-shirt design for the school shirt for the 2017-18 school year. All entries must be on an 8.5x11 piece of paper. T-shirts must include our school name, West Jordan Elementary, and the school year, 2017-2018. Please have your student write their name, teacher and grade on the back side of their design paper. All entries are due no later than May 17th. We can't wait to see all the amazing desings that our students will turn in.

PTA Fun Run Fundraiser

The Junior Jags will be participating in the 5th annual Fun Run Fundraiser. We are asking students to find sponsors. This is an any amount sponsorship. Any amount that a person is willing to donate is fine. This year there is the option of donating online at Classes that earn the most money and have the best times at the Fun Run will earn an ice cream party.

Family and friends over the age of 12 will be allowed to participate with their students. Whether you have one child or four you can purchase a wrist band for $10 per runner that will allow you to race as many times as you would like.

Students should turn in their collected money by May 8th. Thank you so much for your support of this excitng event.

School Lunches

Lunches cost $1.75 per day and must be pre-paid. Reduced price lunches will remain at $0.40 each. Breakfast will be served at 8:10. Breakfast prices are $0.80 per day or $0.30 for the reduced breakfast. The cost of milk will remain at $0.25 each. For students currently on or applying for free or reduced lunch, these applications must be submitted to the school each and every year. Until applications are turned in and approved students will need to pay for lunches. Lunch fees are not retroactive upon the approval of free/reduced lunch applications, so the sooner you get the applications in the sooner they can be approved.
