Changes to the School-Community Council meeting format for the school year:
The Family to Family Network provides information that is very similar to information that South Valley School has provided at our School Community Council meetings in the past, such as: guardianship, adult services, SSI & Medicaid, etc. Rather than continue to duplicate that information, South Valley School will no longer provide those types of presentations at our School-Community Council meetings.
The Family to Family Network is a great support resource that is available to anyone, whether or not they are in public school. We strongly encourage you to attend the Family to Family Network meeting(s) of your choice to get critical information as you transition out of public education. Not only will you gain important knowledge, you will meet people who can help and support you for many years to come. To receive a schedule of Family to Family meeting dates and topics call: (801) 272-1051 or (800) 468-1160.
Throughout the school year we will continue to provide information and resources we think may be useful. It will be sent home with students; posted on our school bulletin board and/or website; and/or forwarded to the email addresses of parents that we have on file.
If you would like specific resources, individual consultation, and/or individual Benefits Planning regarding Social Security, Medicaid, or other government benefits, please contact Becky Rambo, Transition Coordinator at 565-7592 or email: rebecca.rambo@jordan.k12.ut.us
