Students enrolled in the full-time program typically spend a portion of the school day in the classroom setting, and a portion of the day involved in vocational and community instruction and activities. By focusing on community-based experiences students and their families are better prepared for a successful transition from school into the rest of their lives. Each student creates a Person-centered Plan with help from their team of family members and teachers. The team uses the information from this life planning to select goals and objectives for an Individual Education Plan (IEP). A life planning philosophy allows students and their families an opportunity to identify a support system for life after school.
