Present: Spencer Jacobs, Emily Tippets, Norlene Hamann, Leila Mortensen, Jenny Jones, Darlene
Hammond, Deb Springmeyer
1. Budget update- We brought in the anticipated amount with $1000 carry over for next year
2. Fundraiser and Box Tops update- Fundraiser brought in about $4000 profit. There was an
unexpected S&H fee this year. Check on this if we use the same vendor next year. Volunteers
needed Thursday May 10th for delivery. Arrive at school between 10:00-10:30.
3. Elections update– Elections will be held in the fall. Leila and Emily are up for election. Jenny will
be starting year 2. Deb and Darlene’s children move on to Jr. High.
4. Staffing update- Each grade will have one class per track with 2 classes on D track, except 2nd grade
will have 2 on A and D. The district will be taking some portables for next year. Mr. Mednick and
Mr. Ostler are retiring. There will be an open house on June 1st at 2:00. Mr. Jacobs has been
assigned to Riverton Elementary, so Annette Huff from Jordan Hills Elementary will be the principal
next year. Mr. Jacobs last day is June 29th.
5. New Construction update- An ADA playground will be built at the bottom of the hill on the West
side this spring. The West parking lot will also be redone this summer due to water damage. There
will also be a new sound system installed in the gym.
6. ISQ- Scored superior or typical in most areas.
7. Distinguished Cub- The assemblies for A track will be June 4th. BCD assemblies will be held on
June 28th. Any committee members are welcome to help pass out medals.
8. Teacher Appreciation- Went well. We spent $143.
