"The cultural arts are happiness. Happiness is drawing, dancing, finger painting. Happiness is modeling with clay, making music or a poem, performing a play."
Mary Lou Anderson,
Founder of PTA's Reflections Program

A Note from Megan...

On behalf of the Oquirrh Elementary PTA we would like to welcome everyone back to school!  We are excited for a new year and the many events that are scheduled.  We have open positions on the PTA Board and hope that any parents that are interested in volunteering will feel free to contact us by e-mail.   We need your help to make our PTA successful.  We are able to have one fundraiser every year and this year will mark our second annual FUN RUN on Friday Sept 24th!!  Mark your calendars for this important event.  This fundraiser will allow every penny to go back into the school. The PTA uses this money for art projects, red ribbon week, maturation programs, mountain man rendezvous and many other events.  Check your child’s backpacks for information regarding helping with this event and other PTA sponsored events!  Thanks for all that you do to contribute to the success of your child here at Oquirrh!  We look forward to a great year!!

PTA Bylaws

Help Oquirrh
by saving these items:
Boxtops for Education
Campbell's Labels for Education
Cream o'Weber Give 'Em Five
Cartridges for Kids
Recycling
Save these items and bring them to school!

Remember to keep sending Boxtops for Education, Campbell's Soup labels, and Cream o'Weber milk lids! Last year we earned over $1700.00 participaing in these programs! We still recycle printer inkjet and laser cartridges (turn in cartridges to the office) and paper of all kinds (drop paper off in the recycling dumpster at the south end of the building). And remember the PTA accepts and appreciates monetary donations throughout the year!

PTA Supports these activities with funds received from our annual fundraisers: Class parties, field trips, transportation to field trips, Red Ribbon Week, an Art Program, Reflections, Health and Safety Fair, Student Council, Mt. Man Rendezvous, Girls and Boys Maturation Programs for 5th graders, Annual Art Exhibit, Teacher Appreciation, and many more activities! PTA also provides volunteers for classroom subs, vision & hearing screening, Book Fair, fund-raising, membership drives, kindergarten screening, class parties, etc.
