Services provided by this department include:
Identifying students educational needs based upon:
Hearing loss, communication skills, social/emotional development and academic levels.

Supporting the development of basic receptive & expressive communication, speech, auditory skills, and the use of technology to enhance equal access opportunities.

Collaborating & consulting as a member of the multidisciplinary team in:
Assessment, IEP development, parent conferences, adapting curriculum, supplying adaptive equipment, ongoing in-services for regular education personnel, and screening of students in special placements.

Facilitating & coordinating placement of sign language interpreters.
