The JCDC will collaborate with your
family to help decide how we can provide services within
the
natural environment whenever possible. To do this, each family
will be directly involved in deciding where services will
be provided.
Family Fees:
As
of July 1st 2003, fees will be charged to each
family receiving services. Fees will be based on a sliding
fee scale and will be determined according to your family
size and annual income. A determination fee form will
be provided to you prior to service delivery. It is necessary
that this form be turned in before services begin.
Parent
Trainings
Knowledgeable parents are the best
advocates for their children and are the most insightful
about what is best
for their families. During parent trainings, families
are provided with opportunities for parent education and involvement based
on each individual family’s needs. These may include
group parent education meetings and one-to-one involvement
in therapy and intervention sessions. Periodically,
we ask for ideas from parents on topics related to early intervention for parent
education and information. JCDC staff welcome suggestions at anytime on topics
of interest. Click here to see our upadated schedule of parent trainings. These
classes are a mandatory requirement for toddler class enrollment.
Program Newsletter
The Jordan Child Development Center’s
newsletter is a monthly newsletter with information about
the program and
other topics that will be useful for families.
Let your service coordinator know if you would like to help on the newsletter.
If you have experiences to share or information to go into the newsletter,
please give it to your service coordinator or the JCDC secretary.
We also have a copy on the CDC
web site.
Tuesday
Night Program
On Tuesday nights our Infant Toddler Staff holds Toddler
and Baby and Me Classes. These classes are held for those
parents who work outside of the home and would
like to be more involved when their child is ready to come into the center-based
program. We also provide babysitting for siblings while their parents attend
classes with their child.
Resource Library
Books, videos, and tapes are available
to parents on subjects such as child development, parent
concerns, behavior
management,
sign language, etc. These items are located at the JCDC.
Ask your Service Coordinator for information on how
to check them
out of the library.
