Mission Statement
The mission of the Jordan Child Development
Center (JCDC) is to provide opportunities for enhanced
growth and development
to individuals with disabilities and their families. Individualized
services may include evaluation and assessment, education,
support, service coordination, and/or therapy. We acknowledge
the family as the primary authority in the care of each of
its members. We promote a partnership among the family and
all involved service providers.
The Jordan Child Development Center
is part of a public, non-profit State agency that is located
in the Jordan School District. The JCDC contracts with the
Utah Department of Health to provide early intervention services
to eligible children who have developmental delays, diagnosed
conditions or syndromes, ages birth to three years, who reside
in the Jordan School District and Canyons School District
areas. Eligibility may be determined by diagnosis, assessment,
or the professional
opinion of
the
JCDC staff. Our goal is to provide quality services for you
and your family. You can view a detailed description of your

You are a member of the team in determining
the direction and the type of early intervention services
that are best
for your child. You are your child’s most important
teacher. You will work closely with the JCDC staff in developing
activities, to promote your child’s development. Our
early intervention team is comprised of trained, licensed/certified
professionals in their specialty areas, i.e., occupational
therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists,
special educators, nurses, audiologists and others. |
